The Level 3 Dog Grooming & Introduction to Styling is the start of your journey. After which you can transfer over to the Dog Grooming Diploma with ease and confidence.

 

Accredited by I-Pet Network and regulated by Ofqual our advanced Dog Grooming Certificate offers industry standard skills to start your dog grooming journey. There are no formal end-of-course exams and you do not need any formal qualifications to start the course, just a willingness to learn.

The units and evidence completed as part of the iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling can be recognised as prior learning should a candidate want to progress and complete the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management qualification. The qualification is designed for candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish a selections of dog breeds, understand health and safety in a dog grooming salon and gain an understanding of heath checking, handling and canine behaviour. The qualification is a combination of practical and theory teaching. It has been designed specifically for those looking to start the journey in Dog Grooming or those who already groom dogs (as a hobby) but would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

 

We are proud to be teaching the iPET qualification in the Animal Care and Veterinary Science sector. Candidates will groom at least 10 dogs to include a minimum of 5 different breeds, covering 4 different coat types. There are no pre-requisites to starting the qualification, meaning candidates can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first. Candidates will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling and nail trimming on a selection of dog breeds.

 

Uniquely, candidates are continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework. There is no requirement to sit a formal exam in order to achieve the qualification. The qualification was designed with this holistic approach to have an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning. Feedback suggests that this qualification takes the pressure out of adult learning and this approach appeals to a wide range of candidates. We strive to improve industry standards by ensuring candidates walk out fully qualified, confident and competent in dog grooming.

 

The iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that candidates understand the core principles of Dog Grooming and have been introduced to styling techniques. Candidates will leave with a foundation of knowledge base to continue learning or working in the Dog Grooming Industry.

 

The units and evidence completed as part of the iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling can be recognised as prior learning should a candidate want to progress and complete the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management qualification. You can transfer onto the higher course, once the additional fees have been arranged.
